KEEFE MONTGOMERY for Family Court Judge

Keefe has been a dedicated prosecutor in the Jefferson County Attorney’s Office for 21 years. His trial experience includes abused and neglected children cases, juvenile offenses, domestic violence, child support enforcement and over 100 DUI cases tried to juries.

For twenty-four years, Keefe has also maintained a private civil law practice representing hundreds of individuals in divorce, child custody, personal injury, real estate and probate matters. Rarely is there a candidate for the bench with the criminal, family and civil legal experience possessed by Keefe Montgomery.

As a graduate of the University of Notre Dame, (where he really did work his way through school washing dishes), and the University of Louisville Law School, (where he waited tables), Keefe has always been recognized for his optimism, care for others and work ethic.

Keefe, a native Louisvillian, graduated from St. Xavier High School in 1973 where he was elected Student Body President by his classmates. He is married to Marcia Mays, a long-time advocate for victims of domestic violence and senior citizens. Keefe has three children.

For over 18 years, he has found time to coach baseball and other youth activities at various leagues and schools. There are hundreds of children in the St. Matthews and Germantown communities who have learned the skills of a sport and a little about real life from Keefe.

He has started two businesses, enjoys helping people and definitely has the energy that the citizens of Jefferson County need on the bench in Family Court, Division Eight (8).
